Rome Full Day

MY MORNING TOUR LASTS 3. 5 HOURS APROX. AND WITH ME YOU SKIP THE QUEUES

ANCIENT ROME

Who was the first Roman Emperor? Was Julius Cesar the first one ?
The lives of the men who governed the Roman empire have never ceased to fascinate later generations and I imagine that this is one of the reasons of your trip to  Rome.  My tours will introduce you to the Roman history and all the colourful accounts as part of the surviving evidence.
What was part of the of the scandal-mongering of writers and the real substance of the imperial achievement? In a morning tour visiting the Seven Hills of Rome I will bring to life the buildings, forums, temples, stadiums, baths, palaces, theatres, amphitheatres, circuses where these men and their officials who sustained an empire stretching from Britain to the Sahara and from the Atlantic to the Euphrates for almost five hundred years, spend their lives.

The Roman Forum, the  Colosseum, the Palatine hill, the Caracalla Bath     and the Circus Maximus hide facts and events that
only by following my passionate tour you will be able to rekindled  .  We will initiate our tour from one of the Seven hills of Rome: the Capitol Hill.

SQUARES & BAROQUE FOUNTAINS

From the 15th century, Rome became part of the Pontifical State, and the Popes its rulers.
In the 16th century, the Catholic Church had become immensely rich, and this was the chief criticisms of the Protestant reformers. The Holy See reaction was to use their wealth to transform Rome as a city of faith, inviting urban planners to create a new layout according to the new role of Rome within Europe. The churches were the main feature of the entire city and the ancient obelisks their beacons. New fountains were erected, squares created, and finest architects as BorrominiBernini, became the leaders in the ornate, dramatic style of the Baroque.

During our afternoon tour you will be delighted by the multifaceted features of the Baroque: the theatrical Spanish Steps, the delicious Trevi Fountain,    Navona square, the great urban palimpsest of Rome, decorated by the musical  Bernini’s Fontana dei Fiumi (Fountain of the four rivers).

This afternoon tour lasts 3 hours with some breaks to taste a good gelato or an Italian coffee.
